01What can I draft?
Court filings at every stage — legal notices, demands, cease and desist letters and opinions before filing; plaints, writ petitions, vakalatnamas, caveats and interim applications to start a case; written statements, replications, rejoinders and affidavits; written submissions and lists of dates; and appeal memos, SLP memos, execution, contempt and review petitions after judgment. Plus contracts and deeds — NDAs, employment, service, distribution and shareholders' agreements, MOUs, and sale, lease, mortgage, gift, partnership and trust deeds.
02Does Jagriq write the draft for me?
No. You write it. Jagriq gives you the right layout for the type of document, fills in your matter's parties and court details, and takes it through review, approval and signing. It removes the retyping and the confusion over which version is final — not your judgement.
03How do my matter's details get into the draft?
A template has placeholders — {{court}}, {{case_number}}, {{petitioner}}, {{respondent}}, {{limitation_due_date}} — and each one is linked to a field on the matter. They are filled in the moment you open the draft, straight from your own records, so the cause title and parties are right before you write a line. If the matter does not have an answer, Jagriq asks you for it rather than making one up.
04What happens to clause numbers when I add a clause in the middle?
Everything below it renumbers itself, and so does anything that refers to it. A reference points at the clause, not at the number that clause happened to have — so adding a ground at 3.2 moves the rest down and the sentence pointing at it follows along. The updated numbers are saved with the document and stay correct in the Word export.
05Can I open and save Word documents?
Yes. Drop in a Word file and it opens ready to edit, with its tables, alignment and formatting intact. Save any draft back out as a clean Word file, or print it to PDF. You can also pull a document in from Google Drive.
06How does a contract get signed?
Once a draft is approved and finished you can send it out for signature — Aadhaar e-Sign, a digital signature certificate, or through Leegality, Digio, SignDesk or NSDL e-Sign. Or you can record a wet-ink, notarised or sworn signing yourself. Every signatory, method and time is kept on the record, and the signing evidence is saved with the document.
07Who can approve a draft, and can it change after signing?
Only the reviewer you send it to can approve it or send it back with changes, and each decision is recorded against the exact version it was made on. Once you finish the draft, the signed copy is read-only. Every earlier version is still there to open, and none of them can be edited into the final one.
08Are my drafts private?
A draft is as private as the matter it sits on. If the matter is walled off from the rest of the firm, so is the draft. Every access and every change is logged.
