Circuit benches matter more than they look: a matter listed at Aurangabad is the Bombay High Court, and a cause list scraped from Port Blair is Calcutta. Routing on the seat rather than the court is how a listing finds the right file.

The tribunals most legal databases stop before.
RERA, DRT, NCLT, CESTAT, CAT, the Railway Claims Tribunal. This is where a large share of commercial and consumer practice actually happens, and it is the part of the Indian record that is hardest to collect.

A corpus is only as good as its last update. Judgements are added the day courts publish them, and cause lists are held for the tribunal, district and High Court benches where listings actually decide a practitioner’s week.

A single day is lumpy by nature — Punjab & Haryana published 2,167 while Bombay published 7. Courts release in batches, and a daily figure that looked smooth would mean it had been smoothed.

Tribunal and RERA listings outnumber every other tier, which is the opposite of how most legal databases are weighted and much closer to how commercial practice actually runs.
